Praying at the Heart of Texas

It was two years ago that we gathered at the center of Texas on April 9, 2022 for Prayer at the Heart of Texas. Now, almost 2 years later United Cry continues to hear testimonies of lives that were impacted from that day. We had all 254 counties represented in Brady and had asked each one to bring soil from their county. Some of the greatest stories from Praying at the Heart are the stories we are hearing from collecting this soil from all 254 counties in Texas. The soil from each county was mixed together and the mixed soil was put into bags that were distributed at the end of the day on April 9. The admonition was given - Take prayer back to the county level.

 

During the year 2023 United Cry held quarterly prayer gatherings and helped develop the North Texas Prayer Alliance to cover the DFW metroplex in prayer.

 

As we entered the year 2024, the Lord was very clear that we are to go back to Brady, Tx in 2025. The word was this: The April 9th gathering in 2022 was about preparing the ground, The April gathering in 2025 will be about harvest.

 

In preparation of the great harvest and outpouring we believe God has for our state, we are partnering with regional prayer gatherings in Texas.

 

The first regional prayer gathering is in Lufkin, Texas. We are calling East Texas prayer leaders, pastors, intercessors, and believers to gather across denominational, generational, and racial lines and unify in prayers of repentance and revival.   We believe that God is igniting fires of revival throughout our state and it is significant to begin in East Texas in the region of the oldest city of our state, Nacogdoches.  This city was founded in 1779 and was considered a gate of commerce and politics.

 

On Saturday, June 1st, we are asking pastors, intercessors, prayer leaders and believers in the East Texas region to join for a night of prayer and worship at Clawson Assembly of God. We are believing the heartfelt prayers of this region are strategic for the awakening God is bringing to Texas.
